We are seeking a Payroll Specialist (m/w/d) to independently manage monthly payroll accounting and HR administration.

Position Overview
This Payroll Specialist role independently executes monthly payroll accounting including maintenance of personnel master data, taking responsibility for time management and processing payroll-relevant data. You will handle all personnel administrative processes from onboarding through transfers to offboarding, advise employees on payroll, tax, and social insurance questions, communicate with health insurance providers and authorities, support month-end and year-end closing activities, and contribute to digitalization and optimization projects for payroll and HR processes.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Accounting
- Independently execute monthly payroll accounting, including maintenance of personnel master data
- Take responsibility for time management and verify/process payroll-relevant data
HR Administration
- Handle all personnel administrative processes, from onboarding through transfers to offboarding
Employee Advisory & Documentation
- Provide competent advice to employees on payroll, tax, and social insurance questions
- Prepare certificates and information as needed
External Communication & Closing Support
- Communicate with health insurance providers, authorities, and social insurance institutions
- Support month-end, year-end closing, and audit activities
Digitalization & Process Improvement
- Contribute to digitalization and optimization projects
- Actively develop payroll and HR processes further
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial training, such as Industriekaufmann, Kaufmann für Büromanagement, Personalfachkraft, or Lohn- und Gehaltsbuchhalter (m/w/d)
Experience Requirements
- Professional experience in payroll accounting, ideally including time management
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of payroll tax and social insurance law
- Confident use of HR and payroll systems, ideally Paisy, rexx systems, and Timension
Essential Skills
- Strong affinity for numbers and data, with a structured, careful, and responsible working style
