Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Executive (FMCG) in Doha, Qatar is a full-time, on-site quality management role within a leading retail and distribution group, responsible for overseeing the complete quality assurance process across food storage, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will ensure temperature controls and cold chain integrity are maintained during transit, audit suppliers and warehouse facilities for compliance with Qatar MOPH standards, manage customer complaints related to product quality, coordinate product recalls when necessary, and ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 protocols throughout the entire food distribution network. Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance — Food Storage, Warehousing & Distribution
- Oversee the complete quality assurance processes for food storage, warehousing, and distribution operations across the group’s facilities in Qatar
- Ensure all food products are stored, handled, and distributed in full compliance with company quality standards and Qatar MOPH regulatory requirements
- Monitor warehouse conditions, storage temperatures, and product handling practices — identifying deviations and implementing immediate corrective actions
- Maintain comprehensive QA documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports across all food storage and distribution activities in Doha
Cold Chain Integrity & Temperature Controls
- Ensure temperature controls and cold chain integrity are rigorously maintained throughout the entire transit and distribution process for all temperature-sensitive products
- Monitor refrigeration systems, cold storage units, and transport vehicle temperature logs to identify and address cold chain breaches immediately
- Develop and enforce cold chain management procedures that protect product quality from point of receipt through to final delivery to retail locations across Qatar
- Train distribution and warehouse teams on proper cold chain handling protocols and the critical importance of temperature-controlled storage and transit
Supplier & Warehouse Audits — Qatar MOPH Compliance
- Conduct formal audits of suppliers and warehouse facilities to ensure full compliance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) food safety and hygiene standards
- Prepare detailed audit reports, identify non-conformances, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and warehouse management within agreed timelines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Qatar food safety regulations and MOPH standards — proactively updating QA procedures to reflect any regulatory changes
- Support external MOPH inspections and audits — ensuring all required documentation, records, and compliance evidence are properly maintained and readily accessible
Customer Complaints & Product Recall Management
- Handle all customer complaints related to product quality professionally and effectively — investigating root causes and coordinating swift, satisfactory resolutions
- Coordinate product recalls when food safety risks or quality failures are identified — managing the process across distribution, retail, and supply chain teams
- Document complaint data, recall activities, and corrective action outcomes accurately — using findings to drive systemic quality improvements across the distribution network
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a closely related technical or scientific field is required
- Additional certifications in ISO 9001, HACCP, food safety management, or cold chain management are a strong professional advantage
Experience Requirements
- 3 or more years of hands-on QA experience in food distribution, warehousing, retail operations, or a similar FMCG food supply chain environment
- Strong practical knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and food storage safety protocols applicable to retail and distribution operations in Qatar or GCC markets
- Demonstrated experience handling customer complaints, conducting supplier and warehouse audits, and managing product quality non-conformances in a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Familiarity with Qatar MOPH food safety regulations and compliance requirements is highly advantageous for this Doha-based QA executive position
