 Position Overview
This Senior Making Machine Technician role involves operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cigarette making and packing technologies, leading troubleshooting activities related to machine runability, quality issues, and mechanical or electrical faults. You will perform advanced maintenance, lead machine setup and changeovers, conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, provide technical guidance to technicians, and ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and 5S standards.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations & Machine Maintenance
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cigarette making and packing technologies including GD121A, DECOUFLE, and HAUNI PROTOS
- Lead troubleshooting related to machine runability, quality issues, mechanical failures, and electrical faults
- Lead machine setup, changeovers, format changes, and optimization according to production requirements
- Diagnose faults using technical drawings, machine manuals, electrical diagrams, and measuring instruments
Maintenance & Reliability
- Plan and execute routine maintenance activities for assigned machinery
- Inspect, repair, adjust, or replace defective mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components
- Monitor spare-parts requirements and coordinate with the Technical Manager on critical spares
- Analyze breakdown trends and recommend improvements to reduce recurring failures and downtime
Team Leadership & Safety Compliance
- Provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to technicians and machine operators
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities during assigned shifts
- Support training and development of junior technicians in operation, troubleshooting, and safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE, quality, 5S, and operational standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
- Additional certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or automation are an advantage
Experience Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or machinery operations
- Relevant experience in the Tobacco/Cigarette Manufacturing Industry strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with DECOUFLE, HAUNI PROTOS, GD121A, or similar technologies highly advantageous
- Previous experience as a Senior Technician, Lead Technician, or equivalent role preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and industrial automation systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex machinery and identify root causes of failures
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork capabilities
