Position Overview
This Specialist — Cloud Security & AI Security in Abu Dhabi implements and operates cloud and AI security controls across Azure, Microsoft 365, hybrid environments, and approved AI/ML and agentic AI platforms. The role performs security reviews for Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry/Services, Azure Machine Learning, and Copilot Studio, assesses AI-specific risks including prompt injection, jailbreak, insecure output handling, excessive agency, tool abuse, data leakage, and AI supply-chain threats, validates secure RAG implementations, content-safety controls, human approval gates, logging, rate limits, and action boundaries, operates CSPM/CNAPP and workload-protection using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, reviews IAM controls, managed identities, APIs, Key Vault, private endpoints, and encryption, supports DevSecOps controls including IaC and container scanning, and investigates cloud and AI security alerts — preserving evidence, supporting containment, and tracking remediation.
Why This Role Matters: As Cloud Security & AI Security Specialist in Abu Dhabi, you stand at the most critical and fastest-moving frontier in modern cybersecurity — the point where large language models, agentic AI systems, and cloud-native infrastructure intersect with real enterprise risk. Prompt injection attacks that manipulate AI agents into disclosing sensitive data, jailbreaks that bypass content safety controls, excessive agency risks that allow AI tools to take unauthorised actions, and AI supply-chain vulnerabilities that compromise model integrity — these are not theoretical threats. They are active attack vectors in 2026, and your ability to assess, mitigate, and monitor them in Azure, Microsoft 365, and AI Foundry environments makes this one of the most consequential cybersecurity roles in the UAE market.
Primary Responsibilities
AI Security Reviews, Threat Assessment & Guardrail Validation
- Perform comprehensive security reviews for Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry/Services, Azure Machine Learning, Copilot Studio, and approved third-party AI platforms — assessing security posture across the full AI deployment lifecycle
- Assess AI-specific threat vectors including prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, insecure output handling, excessive agency, tool abuse, data leakage, and AI supply-chain risks
- Validate secure RAG implementations, content-safety controls, human approval gates, logging configurations, rate limits, and action boundaries for deployed AI agents and services
- Maintain inventories of AI agents, owners, environments, permissions, connectors, data sources, and risk status — ensuring full visibility of the organisation’s agentic AI footprint
Cloud Security Posture Management & Identity Controls
- Operate CSPM/CNAPP and workload-protection controls using Microsoft Defender for Cloud — continuously assessing and improving cloud security posture across Azure and hybrid environments
- Review and assess managed identities, service principals, APIs, Key Vault configurations, private endpoints, network isolation controls, and encryption standards
- Ensure IAM controls, role assignments, and privileged access configurations comply with least-privilege principles and organisational security policies
- Support DevSecOps security controls including Infrastructure-as-Code scanning, dependency vulnerability management, secret detection, and container image security analysis
Incident Response, Documentation & Monitoring
- Investigate cloud and AI security alerts — preserving digital evidence, supporting containment actions, and tracking remediation through to verified closure
- Maintain security procedures, test cases, monitoring dashboards, and technical documentation for cloud and AI security controls
- Contribute to security awareness and engineering team guidance on secure AI development, deployment patterns, and cloud security standards
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of cybersecurity experience — including hands-on cloud security experience and practical exposure to AI/ML, GenAI, or agentic AI security
- Demonstrated technical skills in Azure and Microsoft 365 security, Defender for Cloud, and CSPM/CNAPP tools
- Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry/Services, secure RAG implementations, and agentic AI security assessment
- Working knowledge of NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) and OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications
