Position Overview
This Utilities Technician I role involves ensuring continuous and efficient operation of Boiler House machines, checking and maintaining equipment to basic condition, ensuring electrical/mechanical operations and consumption standards are maintained, adhering to Corrective, Preventive and Scheduled Maintenance and Kanban systems, carrying out daily routine work and parameter monitoring, complying with HSE and food safety HACCP requirements, and reducing mean time of repair (MTTR) through effective presence on the line.

Key Responsibilities
Utilities Operation & Maintenance
- Ensure continuous and efficient operation of Boiler House machines (boiler, thermal fluid heater, air compressor and utilities equipment)
- Check equipment and maintain to basic condition
- Ensure electrical/mechanical operations, consumption, standards and control are maintained at high quality
- Adhere to Corrective, Preventive, Scheduled Maintenance and Kanban systems
Daily Routine & Monitoring
- Carry out daily routine work, parameter monitoring and laboratory analysis
- Maintain reports and records of activity and housekeeping in the work areas
- Analyze and report anomalies; complete M1, M2 and M3 notifications in the PM system and confirm orders
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Comply with safety guidelines and procedures (HSE)
- Ensure proper handling of chemical products, tools and use of appropriate PPE
- Comply with HSE and food safety HACCP requirements within the workplace
- Ensure GMP and 5S compliance, and comply with Good Manufacturing Process and Food Defense requirements
Performance & Sustainability
- Reduce the mean time of repair (MTTR) in the lines through effective presence in the line
- Comply with BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines and global ESG commitments
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Minimum 2-year technical course in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Operation and Maintenance of Boilers and Air Compressors in the Food/FMCG industry
- Hands-on experience with Thermal fluid heaters, Air Compressors, Dryers, Pumps, Softeners and water treatment
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical controls, power circuits and automation circuits
- Basic troubleshooting, repairing and servicing of equipment, pumps, valves and regulators
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of boiler water quality analysis, chemical handling and fuel handling procedures
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations
- Knowledge of HSE policies, food safety, firefighting and safety emergency procedures
- Knowledge of Asset Management in Food/FMCG Industry
- Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of analytical tools including PDCA, RCA and 5S
- Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical control, Automation, PLC, BMS, DCS, SCADA and HMI control systems
- Flexibility in working hours and skills, with good organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
