Position Overview
This Warehouse Operative role supports administration of warehouse and manual handling plans and processes to provide smooth operations for forklift operations, material handling, and ground operations activities, including movement, storage, and inventory control, stacking, loading, or unloading materials, and packaging of materials in line with business strategy and corporate guidelines and policies.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving, Sorting & Storage
- Under supervision, receive goods, accurately sort, label, and store goods, optimizing warehouse space
- Verify items against shipment records and inspect for damages or defects
- Update received and shipped items according to established procedures
Material Movement & Packing
- Ensure proper routing of materials while transporting between departments
- Verify and pack items for shipment according to specifications and transportation method
- Undertake repetitive tasks related to movement, tools, and packaging (e.g., picking and packing)
Forklift & Equipment Operation
- Under supervision, operate gas or electric powered forklift trucks to move, stack, stage, load, or unload materials
- May use hi-rise equipment to load items into storage racks
- Ensure forklifts and equipment are properly checked, used, and maintained daily
Order Fulfilment & Documentation
- Perform order fulfilment based on customer requirements
- Retrieve stored information, place orders, or respond to enquiries on inventory levels or delivery schedules
- Verify and process applicable documentation during package/freight pick-up or arrival
- Operate a scanner to process all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Arrange daily pick-up schedules and dispatch pick-up delivery information
Customer Support & Continuous Learning
- Answer basic queries from customer service and sales regarding shipment tracking
- Resolve issues related to misplaced shipments and recurring delivery issues per defined processes
- Support general admin tasks related to shipment processing, documentation, and payments
- Stay updated on equipment usage and obtain related certifications for loading, unloading, and material handling
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Vocational, specialized, technical, or certification-level education
Experience Requirements
- Less than 2 years of relevant experience
