Position Overview
The Inventory Supervisor at Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment (VOX Cinemas) Dubai is responsible for overseeing site inventory operations and ensuring seamless, reliable inventory management across assigned locations. Key Responsibilities
Inventory Monitoring, Purchase Orders & Stock Movements
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels across assigned VOX Cinemas locations — processing purchase orders accurately and tracking all stock movements from receipt through to consumption, transfer, or disposal in real time
- Receive, inspect, unpack, label, and restock inventory items as required — ensuring all received goods are checked against purchase orders and delivery notes for quantity accuracy and quality compliance before confirmation
- Record all stock receipts, transfers, and wastage within inventory management systems — particularly Materials Control (MC) and Micros — on a daily basis, maintaining full and accurate inventory transaction records throughout every operating day
Physical Stock Counts, Reconciliation & Variance Investigation
- Conduct regular physical stock counts across all assigned inventory areas — reconciling physical inventory results against system records to verify accuracy, identify discrepancies, and initiate prompt corrective action
- Investigate all stock variances thoroughly and objectively — analyzing root causes across receiving, storage, production, wastage, and transfer processes, and providing clear corrective actions and improvement recommendations to management
- Conduct spot checks, expiry date reviews, and inventory audits — ensuring all stored inventory complies with food safety, hygiene, and FIFO/FEFO rotation requirements and that audit-ready documentation is maintained at all times
PAR Level Management & Inventory Optimization
- Monitor historical stock trends and maintain appropriate PAR (Periodic Automatic Replenishment) stock levels for all F&B inventory categories — ensuring VOX Cinemas locations maintain optimal stock availability without costly overstock positions or damaging stockout situations
- Create and maintain accurate inventory item records — including new item setups, product specifications, unit of measure configurations, and par level settings — in the inventory management system, keeping records current and correctly structured at all times
- Identify slow-moving inventory items and support menu engineering initiatives — providing data-driven insights that enable the operations and commercial team to optimize the product range, reduce waste, and maximize F&B profitability
Cost Control, Wastage Reduction & Reporting
- Support cost control initiatives by actively monitoring inventory losses, wastage, over-portioning, and variance trends — identifying cost reduction opportunities and working with the operations team to implement practical, measurable improvements
- Prepare and share comprehensive inventory reports covering stock receipts, transfers, wastage, variances, and concession sales — delivering clear, accurate, and actionable reporting to management on a regular and ad hoc basis
- Validate all inventory transactions and ensure consistent compliance with established inventory control procedures — maintaining the standards and discipline required to deliver reliable inventory data across all Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment locations
Food Safety, HSE Compliance & Operational Support
- Ensure all storage areas comply with food safety, hygiene, health, and safety requirements — conducting regular storage compliance checks and taking corrective action on any identified food safety risks before they reach the operating floor
- Support operational teams in maintaining food safety, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency standards — serving as the inventory compliance reference point for VOX Cinemas site management and F&B operations teams
- Adhere to all VOX Cinemas and Majid Al Futtaim operational policies and procedures — ensuring all inventory activities are conducted within the governance framework established by the business and communicate policy requirements clearly to relevant site teams
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Minimum High School Certificate — additional qualifications in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or business administration are a significant advantage and strongly preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of inventory control experience in the Food & Beverage, hospitality, or entertainment industry — with direct responsibility for stock management, physical counts, variance investigation, and inventory reporting
- Previous experience with inventory management systems — particularly Materials Control (MC), Micros, or similar F&B or hospitality inventory platforms — is strongly preferred
