Position Overview

The Supply Performance Analyst at OXEA Oberhausen focuses on supply chain and operational performance using the company’s Yield Accounting Systems (YAS). The role is responsible for accurately tracking the production of finished and semi-finished goods, raw material conversion efficiency, and production variances — based on daily production entries, yield data, and consumption figures in Aspen AORA. It delivers added value through operational reports and analyses for European production plants, provides backup analytical support for US sites, develops production KPIs, and ensures cost transparency — collaborating closely with Operations, Finance, Logistics, and Purchasing stakeholders across OXEA’s global manufacturing network.

Why This Role Matters: As Supply Performance Analyst at OXEA, your daily reconciliation of production and consumption results in Aspen AORA — and your precision in ensuring automated posting accuracy in SAP R/3 — are the data foundation on which OXEA’s material requirements planning (MRP), inventory management, month-end financial closing, and operational cost transparency all depend. Your analytical accuracy is not just a reporting function: it is a core enabling capability for downstream business processes that affect procurement, production planning, and financial decision-making across OXEA’s European and US operations.

Key Responsibilities

Yield Accounting Reconciliation — Aspen AORA & SAP R/3

  • Take full responsibility for the daily reconciliation of production and consumption results in the Yield Accounting System (Aspen AORA) — verifying the accuracy of all production entries, yield figures, and raw material consumption data before releasing to downstream systems
  • Ensure automated daily postings from Aspen AORA to SAP R/3 are accurate, timely, and complete — immediately investigating and resolving any posting failures, discrepancies, or system mismatches that could impact material requirements planning (MRP) or inventory data integrity
  • Ensure the Yield Accounting System (Aspen AORA) is correctly configured to support accurate and automated postings to the SAP system — maintaining system parameter accuracy, reviewing configuration settings, and coordinating with IT or system administrators when configuration changes are required

Inventory Reconciliation — European & US Plants

  • Perform daily reconciliation of inventory quantities between the YAS system and SAP — identifying, investigating, and resolving quantity discrepancies to maintain reliable, accurate inventory data across all OXEA production locations
  • Reconcile dispatch, goods receipt, and loading inventories for trucks, tank cars, and inland vessels at the US Bay City and Bishop locations — providing daily reconciliation support and ensuring reliable inventory data at these sites as part of the backup function
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inventory reconciliation activities — providing clear audit trails for Finance, Operations, and regulatory purposes

Procurement Support — SAP Purchase Requisitions

  • Create and process SAP purchase requisitions for selected raw materials in close coordination with the Purchasing team — ensuring all requisitions are correctly configured, properly coded, and submitted with sufficient lead time to support production schedules
  • Monitor procurement status for relevant raw materials — flagging potential supply risks or delivery deviations to the purchasing team and supply chain management proactively and with sufficient advance notice

Month-End Closing Support — Finance & Accounting Coordination

  • Control and execute the operational quantity portion of the month-end closing process — making all necessary adjustments, reconciling production quantities, and coordinating with Finance and Accounting to provide accurate supporting documentation for the month-end financial close
  • Ensure that all quantity data, inventory movements, and production variances are correctly reflected in SAP at month-end — working closely with Finance to resolve discrepancies and maintain the integrity of operational cost transparency reporting

KPI Development, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and optimize production KPIs and operational reporting tools for European production plants — working collaboratively with the production team to design reports that are clear, actionable, and directly useful for operational performance management decisions
  • Deliver value-adding operational analyses and performance reports for European production plants — including production efficiency, raw material conversion variances, yield performance, and inventory accuracy metrics that inform operational and strategic decisions
  • Collaborate within the global supply chain team to standardize and harmonize processes, workflows, and reporting formats across OXEA’s European and US production sites — contributing to a consistent, high-quality analytical framework across the global manufacturing network

Catalyst Inventory Management

  • Manage catalyst inventory and recycling/recovery activities — ensuring correct governance, accurate transaction recording, and proper inventory management for catalyst materials from initial goods receipt through operational use to recycling and recovery
  • Ensure all catalyst movements are correctly documented and transacted in SAP — maintaining full traceability and supporting accurate cost accounting for catalyst materials across the production lifecycle

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a comparable academic qualification — with strong analytical and quantitative grounding

Experience Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience with SAP or another major ERP system — with direct experience in production postings, inventory reconciliation, purchase requisitions, or related supply chain analytics activities in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or the manufacturing industry — familiar with production processes, yield accounting principles, raw material consumption tracking, and operational cost structures in an industrial production context
  • Experience in yield accounting and with relevant software solutions — preferably Aspen Advisor or Aspen AORA — is a significant and highly valued advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of analysis and reporting tools — able to build, maintain, and optimize analytical reporting in a data-intensive, fast-paced manufacturing analytics environment

Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to assert oneself in a performance- and results-oriented, fast-paced environment — self-directed, resilient, and consistently accurate under the time pressure of daily reconciliation deadlines and month-end closing requirements
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively — juggling daily reconciliation, reporting deliverables, procurement tasks, and month-end activities without losing accuracy or timeliness on any front
  • Good communication skills in both German and English — required for daily collaboration with stakeholders across supply chain, finance, logistics, purchasing, and the global team including US plant contacts
  • Collaborative and stakeholder-oriented — comfortable working across functional boundaries with Operations, Finance, Purchasing, and Logistics teams in a global organization
