Position Overview
This farm operations foreperson job in Moscow, Idaho suits someone who is just as comfortable in a tractor cab as in a repair shop. You will plan daily field work, keep machinery running, and guide seasonal crews. It is a practical, outdoors-heavy role with real leadership built in.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate dryland farming, research and foundation seed production
- Operate, maintain, repair, weld and fabricate agricultural equipment
- Assign daily field work and manage equipment use and maintenance
- Train and supervise temporary employees
- Manage seed processing, records, inventory and regulatory requirements
- Oversee Federal Excess Property inventory
- Serve as acting operational lead when the supervisor is out
Qualifications & Requirements
- Two years of agricultural production or farm operations experience
- Dryland farming, equipment operation, repair and welding experience
- Experience keeping equipment, maintenance or seed records
- Valid driver’s license; CDL, pesticide applicator license and forklift certification, or obtain within six months of hire
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and seasonal overtime
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in all weather
- Preferred: agriculture or mechanics degree, seed production experience, field research knowledge and chemical safety training
