An experienced On-Site Services Machinist is sought to join a global turbine services team supporting GE/Alstom and OEM turbines. This role is responsible for the on-site machining of major rotating equipment components, including setting up and operating manual and numerically controlled machine tools across customer sites worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
On-Site Machining Operations
- Perform in-situ machining operations, including milling, boring, flange facing, drilling, grinding, and turning on gas and steam turbine components
- Operate portable boring bars and machining equipment for precise machining of turbine casings, bearing housings, and diaphragms
- Execute deblading and reblading of steam turbines on site in accordance with approved instructions
Diaphragm Repair & Alignment
- Perform steam turbine diaphragm alignment to restore concentricity and minimize efficiency losses
- Lead and supervise diaphragm repair jobs at customer sites, acting as the representative of On-Site Services Specialist (OSS) in front of internal and external customers
Safety, Quality & Planning
- Execute assignments according to GE EHS and Quality requirements, ensuring rules are understood by the crew prior to starting work
- Complete all pre-job planning and post-job reporting, including machine and tooling preparation and ordering parts and supplies
- Perform maintenance of clean work areas, tooling, and equipment
Travel & Special Duties
- Travel globally on short notice and for extended periods during outage seasons, working non-uniform weekly schedules
- Support special projects as assigned by management, including development of innovative service offerings and delivery of training
- Drive a strong safety, quality, and customer-centric culture across assigned crews
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field, or a high school degree with relevant work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in machining, preferably on power generation equipment with GE/Alstom and OEM turbines
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and work within an On-Site Service Crew
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Able to understand and read technical work instructions in English
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 90% of the time globally on short notice, including weekends and holidays
