Position Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator at Hyatt Hotels Berlin is a warm, operationally important, and professionally fulfilling HR role at the heart of one of the world’s most recognisable luxury hotel brands — and one of Germany’s most award-winning employers. You will be the first point of contact for all HR matters for Hyatt Berlin’s diverse international team, supporting employees through every stage of their employment journey from onboarding through development, day-to-day HR administration, and separation — with the empathy, discretion, and professionalism that a people-centred hotel brand demands from its HR function.
This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys people — who finds satisfaction in helping a colleague navigate a personal HR question, in ensuring that every administrative detail of an employment record is accurate, in supporting an apprentice through their training journey, and in contributing to the kind of workplace culture that makes the Hyatt Berlin team a place people are proud to work. The benefits package is exceptional, the team culture is award-winning, and the opportunity to grow within Hyatt’s global hospitality network — with free worldwide hotel stays as a tangible, annually renewable reminder of the world you are part of — makes this one of Berlin’s most attractive HR coordinator roles in 2026.
Why an HR Coordinator Role at Hyatt Hotels Berlin Is One of the Most Rewarding Hospitality HR Careers in Germany in 2026: Great Place to Work® doesn’t award “Best Employer” designations to organisations that simply provide competitive salaries — it awards them to organisations where employees genuinely feel valued, developed, and heard. Hyatt Hotels Germany has earned this designation multiple times, and this Human Resources Coordinator role is one of the positions that actively helps maintain and build that award-winning culture every day — through empathetic employee support, well-managed HR processes, and the consistent delivery of a people experience that keeps talented hospitality professionals choosing to build their careers at Hyatt Berlin rather than somewhere else.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations, HR Advisory & First Point of Contact
- Serve as the first point of contact for all HR matters across Hyatt Berlin’s international team — providing an approachable, empathetic, and professionally competent HR presence for colleagues who have questions, concerns, or needs across the full range of employment, development, and personal HR matters that arise in a busy international hotel environment, always with the discretion and warmth that employee trust requires
- Provide competent and empathetic support to employees through all HR-related matters — from answering everyday employment queries quickly and clearly to supporting colleagues through more complex or sensitive HR situations with the patience, confidentiality, and professional guidance that makes Hyatt’s HR team a trusted and genuinely valued resource across all hotel departments
- Support internal employee communication and actively contribute to making Hyatt’s corporate culture visible and tangible in the daily working experience — helping to communicate company news, HR programmes, team events, and employee benefits in ways that reinforce the welcoming, values-driven, and people-first workplace culture that the Great Place to Work® award recognises
HR Administration — Entry to Exit
- Coordinate and process all HR administrative activities from employee entry through exit — managing the complete employee lifecycle administration including contract preparation, onboarding documentation, employment record maintenance, payroll input support, absence tracking, reference letter preparation, and separation administration, ensuring that every detail is accurate, complete, and processed in full compliance with German employment law and Hyatt’s internal policies
- Support hotel departments with time recording system management and control — assisting department managers with Hyatt Berlin’s time recording system, ensuring that working hours are accurately captured, overtime is properly recorded, and all time-related data is reliably maintained to support fair and accurate payroll processing for every member of the hotel team
- Bring structure and organisation to the diverse operational HR workload — maintaining oversight of all HR deadlines, appointment schedules, contract renewal dates, probation period completions, and project milestones, ensuring that no HR administrative commitment is missed and that the HR office operates with the reliability and professional quality that the hotel team and hotel management depend on
- Support the implementation of HR projects and internal processes — contributing to the development and improvement of HR systems, procedures, and initiatives that enhance the efficiency of HR administration and the quality of the employee experience across Hyatt Berlin’s departments
Apprentice & Trainee Support
- Provide dedicated support and coordination for Hyatt Berlin’s apprentices (Auszubildende) and dual-study students throughout their training period — serving as the primary HR contact for trainees and their department supervisors, coordinating with vocational schools (Berufsschulen) and internal training interfaces, monitoring training progress, and ensuring that Hyatt’s apprentices receive the structured support and professional guidance that prepares them for successful careers in the hospitality industry
- Maintain reliable communication and coordination with vocational schools, training departments, and internal interfaces regarding apprentice training matters — ensuring that all training-related administration, examination registrations, school coordination activities, and trainee performance discussions are managed with the care and consistency that Hyatt’s commitment to developing the next generation of hospitality professionals requires
Required Profile
Essential Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree, ideally in hotel management or hospitality, with demonstrated or developing interest in HR and personnel management — candidates from adjacent fields who have built genuine HR experience and interest are also warmly considered
- Strong organisational skills — structured, reliable, detail-conscious, and quality-focused working approach that ensures every HR administrative responsibility is completed accurately and on time
- Genuine enjoyment of working with people — service-oriented, open, empathetic, and professionally discreet approach to all employee interactions that builds the trust Hyatt’s HR team depends on
- Natural teamwork orientation — comfortable working collaboratively with different departments and with a diverse, international team of colleagues from all over the world
- Confident, clear communication in both German and English — spoken and written — reflecting Hyatt Berlin’s international working environment
