Position Overview
As a Microbiologist at Alliance Infinite’s Bahrain laboratory, you will bring deep technical expertise and a detail-driven approach to all aspects of microbiological analysis, testing, and reporting. Your core focus will be ensuring that all laboratory tests are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant scientific standards and protocols. You will work across a range of microbiology disciplines — including sample preparation and analysis, microbiological culture, identification, enumeration, and quality control — while maintaining meticulous records and delivering reliable results to internal and external stakeholders. This role demands a seasoned laboratory professional who combines technical mastery of microbiology with a strong commitment to precision, quality, and professional scientific conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Microbiology Testing & Analysis
- Conduct microbiological testing and analysis across a range of sample types — applying established laboratory procedures, validated methods, and the highest standards of scientific accuracy and reproducibility.
- Perform microbiological culture, incubation, identification, and enumeration procedures — accurately identifying microorganisms, quantifying contamination levels, and interpreting results in line with relevant reference standards.
- Carry out sample preparation, processing, and handling in full compliance with laboratory SOPs, biosafety requirements, and relevant international testing standards applicable to Alliance Infinite’s service scope.
Quality Assurance & Accurate Results
- Ensure all laboratory testing delivers accurate, reliable, and reproducible results — maintaining the highest level of data integrity and scientific rigour in every analysis performed at the Bahrain laboratory.
- Conduct quality control checks on reagents, media, equipment, and testing processes — identifying and escalating any deviations, anomalies, or non-conformances to the laboratory supervisor or management team.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments — ensuring all tools used in microbiology testing are functioning correctly, validated, and maintained to the required standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable laboratory records for all tests conducted — including sample logs, test parameters, results, observations, and any corrective actions taken during the analysis process.
- Prepare clear, professional, and timely microbiology test reports for internal use and client delivery — ensuring all data is correctly formatted, scientifically sound, and communicated clearly to stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with laboratory safety procedures, biosafety protocols, and waste management requirements at all times, contributing to a safe and compliant working environment for the entire team.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or a closely related life science discipline — providing the academic foundation for advanced laboratory testing and microbiological analysis.
- Post-graduate qualifications (MSc or equivalent) in Microbiology or a related field are an additional advantage for candidates targeting senior or specialist laboratory positions at Alliance Infinite.
Experience Requirements
