Position Overview

The Agentic AI / AI Engineer in Santa Clara is a full-time, senior on-site engineering role responsible for developing and owning enterprise-grade Agentic AI systems for Supply Chain use cases — including multi-agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, deployment infrastructure, monitoring, and full lifecycle management. You will capture design requirements, translate them into user stories, perform technical design, drive end-to-end integration testing, manage development team activities, define agent autonomy boundaries, design human-in-the-loop workflows, implement agent observability and evaluation frameworks, and partner with Enterprise IT, product, and research teams using LLMs, agentic frameworks, and NVIDIA’s own NeMo and AIQ technologies. This role requires a rare combination of deep technical AI expertise and strong enterprise architecture leadership.

Why This Role Matters: As Agentic AI Engineer in Santa Clara, you will build the enterprise AI systems that directly transform supply chain operations at scale — designing multi-agent architectures that process real business decisions, leading the adoption of NVIDIA’s NeMo and AIQ technologies in production supply chain environments, defining the agent autonomy boundaries and human-in-the-loop workflows that make enterprise AI safe and reliable, and shaping the technical future of Agentic AI in one of the world’s most exciting and consequential engineering environments in Silicon Valley.

Key Responsibilities

Agentic AI System Development & Architecture

  • Develop and own enterprise-grade Agentic AI systems for Supply Chain use cases — including multi-agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, deployment infrastructure, monitoring, and full lifecycle management
  • Be hands-on in development and implement enterprise-grade Agentic AI Supply Chain solutions — writing production-quality Python code and leading technical implementation from design through deployment
  • Partner with Enterprise IT engineering, product, and research teams using LLMs, agentic frameworks, and NVIDIA’s own NeMo and AIQ technologies to build scalable, reliable enterprise AI systems
  • Drive architectural decisions across deployment models — on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and containerized — to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient enterprise Agentic AI solutions

Requirements Engineering, Design & Integration

  • Capture design requirements and translate them into clear user stories — performing technical design, driving end-to-end integration testing, and supporting data setup and issue remediation during UAT
  • Lead technical design reviews, develop comprehensive technical design documentation, and enforce principles of quality code development across the engineering team
  • Ensure integration with enterprise IT and Operations data sources and industry-leading Agentic platforms — maintaining a strong content security focus throughout all integration work
  • Define agent autonomy boundaries, human-in-the-loop workflows, and escalation strategies specifically tailored to enterprise supply chain use cases and risk profiles

Multi-Agent Systems, RAG & Vector Database Architecture

  • Design and implement multi-agent communication and coordination patterns including planner/executor/critic architectures, supervisor agents, and dynamic task delegation workflows
  • Build and optimize RAG pipelines using vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval optimization techniques — including indexing strategies, similarity search tuning, and relevance evaluation for production systems
  • Implement agent observability and evaluation frameworks that measure and report on latency, accuracy, cost, failure modes, and hallucination analysis across all deployed agents
  • Integrate enterprise platforms including ERP, CRM, and ITSM with APIs, data connectors, and custom services to enable Agentic AI access to critical supply chain data

Technical Leadership, Hypercare & Team Management

  • Manage development team activities — providing technical direction, code review oversight, and architectural guidance across junior and mid-level AI engineers
  • Develop and maintain the Hypercare support model for deployed Agentic AI systems — ensuring rapid response to production issues and system reliability post-launch
  • Lead product trials, proof-of-concept development, and new technology introductions — defining clear success criteria, operating parameters, and expected business value for each initiative
  • Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly — inspiring confidence and alignment across both technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field — or equivalent extensive professional software architecture and enterprise systems experience
  • 12+ years of demonstrable experience in software architecture, systems design, or enterprise platform engineering — a senior-level requirement for this Santa Clara AI role
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python for building production-grade AI systems — with experience in SQL, JSON, and backend service development (Java is a plus)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AI/ML systems, generative AI, or agentic AI frameworks in a production enterprise engineering environment
  • Experience working with LLMs, RAG architectures, and agent orchestration frameworks including ReAct patterns, LangChain-based systems, and AutoGPT-style workflows
