Position Overview
The Quality Specialist helps vendors improve their operations so that meat, seafood, produce, and perishables meet the quality standard every day. Beyond daily inspection, you will drive process improvement initiatives and take part in stakeholder meetings. The role improves customer satisfaction metrics, brings efficiency to fresh produce buying, and cuts damage and expiry caused by poor quality. Strong interpersonal and execution skills matter, since you will coordinate with several internal teams and keep improving processes and automation.
Why This Role Matters: Fresh food is the category where customers notice problems first — wilted produce, a damaged package, a short-dated item. A Quality Specialist who catches issues at inbound, at picking, and at packing keeps those problems from reaching the customer’s door.
