Why This Logistics Manager Role at Mace Stands Out
A Landmark Dubai Project: Help deliver the expansion of a flagship development into a world-leading events and exhibitions destination — a high-profile build with many moving parts
Hands-On Site Role: This is a practical, site-based position — you will walk the site, solve problems with construction teams, and see logistics plans turn into real, safe operations
Complex Multi-Contractor Environment: Coordinating several contractors and work packages at once builds exactly the kind of experience senior construction logistics roles look for
Career Growth: Site logistics managers can progress toward Senior Logistics Manager, Head of Logistics, Construction Manager, and Project Director roles in the major projects sector
Position Overview
The Logistics Manager supports the Senior Logistics Manager in carrying out the overall project logistics strategy, with a strong focus on day-to-day site delivery. You will work closely with main contractors, subcontractors, construction teams, and project stakeholders to make sure logistics plans are understood and actually followed on site. That means managing site access, delivery routes, loading and unloading areas, laydown areas, and material storage and movement; coordinating vehicle and material movements to limit disruption; reviewing contractor logistics plans, method statements, and delivery proposals; supporting temporary roads, hoarding, gates, welfare facilities, and site compounds; carrying out regular site inspections to spot risks and clashes; planning short and medium-term logistics against the construction programme; working with health and safety teams; and producing updates, reports, and look-ahead information for the project team.
Why This Role Matters: On a large construction site, materials, vehicles, and people all compete for the same gates, roads, and laydown space. When logistics is weak, deliveries queue up, trades wait for materials, and safety risks grow. As Logistics Manager, you keep traffic and materials moving safely and predictably, resolve clashes between contractors before they become delays, and make sure plans on paper match what is really happening on site. Your coordination protects programme, safety, and relationships across the whole project.
