Role Overview
The Laboratory Manager will supervise and coordinate all laboratory functions to ensure accurate testing, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and timely reporting. The role covers chemical analysis, microbiological testing, and environmental monitoring sections, ensuring all processes meet international quality standards.
This leadership position requires strategic oversight of laboratory performance, financial planning, regulatory audits, staff management, and business development collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Operations & Technical Oversight
- Supervise daily laboratory operations across chemical, microbial, and environmental divisions
- Ensure accurate and reliable laboratory test reports
- Maintain compliance with company quality policies and international standards
- Verify SOPs, laboratory documentation, and reporting systems
- Support QA Manager in maintaining and expanding laboratory accreditation scope
2. Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Compliance
- Monitor corrective actions (NCRs) and internal audit findings
- Ensure compliance with FSMS, HACCP, and ISO standards
- Oversee environmental and safety compliance programs
- Maintain laboratory safety protocols and documentation
- Prepare laboratory for regulatory inspections and certification renewals
3. Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage laboratory budgeting and financial reporting
- Approve purchase requests and inventory requirements
- Oversee invoice reporting and stock management
- Conduct manpower planning and technical resource allocation
- Analyze business performance metrics to support commercial goals
4. Business Development & Customer Satisfaction
- Coordinate with Sales and Business Development teams
- Promote laboratory services and testing solutions
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve complaints
- Participate in management review meetings
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates must have:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field

- Proven experience as a Laboratory Manager in food testing, chemical testing, environmental labs, or microbiological laboratories
- Experience coordinating with Sales or Business Development teams
