Position Overview

This Quality Controller role involves ensuring highest food safety and quality standards within catering operations. You will evaluate food products and prepared meals for Saudi FDA compliance, monitor staff hygiene practices and food handling procedures, oversee sanitation and equipment maintenance, conduct pest control inspections, manage waste practices, audit sub-kitchens, perform internal audits, train staff on safety protocols, and maintain ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Document evaluation results and maintain detailed inspection records

Hygiene & Food Handling Monitoring

  • Oversee staff personal hygiene and food handling procedures

  • Monitor hand washing, sanitization, and personal protective equipment usage
  • Conduct regular hygiene assessments and provide corrective guidance

Sanitation & Equipment Management

Pest Control & Risk Management

Waste & Subcontractor Management

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology
  • OR related field in food safety and quality management

Certification Requirements

  • Relevant food safety certifications recognized in Saudi Arabia
  • HACCP certification (required)
  • ISO 22000 certification (required)
  • Additional food safety certifications beneficial

Experience Requirements

  • 0-3 years experience in quality control or food safety management
  • Preferably within the catering industry
  • Experience with food safety auditing and compliance
