Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Officer at Aser Al Najah plays a critical, hands-on role in protecting food safety, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring full operational compliance across the company’s QSR and casual dining restaurant portfolio in Al Madina. This is a mobile, field-based position requiring regular site visits, operational audits, hygiene inspections, and close collaboration with restaurant operations teams. You will be the company’s primary guardian of food safety standards — from Baladiya compliance to HACCP implementation — ensuring every location operates to the highest possible quality and regulatory standards every single day.

Roles & Responsibilities

Food Safety & Quality Management

  • Support and oversee quality, food safety, and operational compliance standards across all restaurant locations in Al Madina
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce HACCP plans and Critical Control Points across QSR and casual dining kitchen operations
  • Conduct regular food safety audits, hygiene inspections, and operational compliance checks at each restaurant site
  • Ensure full adherence to Saudi Baladiya regulations and municipal food safety requirements at all times
  • Monitor food preparation, storage, handling, and serving practices against established food safety and hygiene standards

Operational Audits & Compliance

  • Conduct thorough operational audits across restaurant locations — identifying gaps, non-conformances, and areas requiring corrective action
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and compliance documentation for management review and regulatory submission as required
  • Ensure ISO food safety management standards are understood, implemented, and maintained consistently across all sites
  • Follow up on audit findings and corrective action plans to ensure timely resolution and sustained compliance

Hygiene, Training & Awareness

  • Promote a strong food safety and hygiene culture among restaurant staff across all locations through regular engagement and awareness activities
  • Support delivery of food safety inductions, hygiene training sessions, and toolbox talks for kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Monitor personal hygiene standards, kitchen cleanliness, and sanitation practices across all restaurant sites
  • Coordinate with restaurant managers on immediate corrective actions when hygiene or food safety risks are identified

Documentation & Regulatory Reporting

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date quality and food safety records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
  • Support preparation and submission of regulatory documentation for Baladiya and other relevant Saudi food safety authorities
  • Ensure all food safety certifications, licenses, and compliance records remain current and valid at all restaurant locations

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

  • Currently residing in Saudi Arabia with a valid, active Iqama — this is a firm and non-negotiable requirement
  • Valid Saudi driving license and personal vehicle — mandatory due to multi-site travel requirements across Al Madina
  • HACCP Level 4 Certification — must be held at the time of application
  • Recognized Food Safety Certification — mandatory qualification for this role
  • Full fluency in both Arabic and English — written and spoken communication in both languages is required

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Saudi National — candidates holding Saudi nationality are strongly preferred for this position
  • Prior hands-on experience in QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) and Casual Dining restaurant food safety or quality assurance roles
  • Practical working knowledge of ISO food safety management standards and their application in restaurant environments
  • Familiarity with Baladiya (Saudi municipal authority) food hygiene and safety regulations and inspection processes
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles, kitchen hygiene standards, and operational audit methodologies
  • Urdu language proficiency — an additional advantage given the multicultural restaurant workforce
