Position Overview
As a Shift Supervisor Warehouse and Team Leader Logistics at DHL Supply Chain Staufenberg, you are not just a process manager — you are a people developer and the operational heartbeat of your shift. You will be physically present on the warehouse floor every day, driving performance, coaching your team and ensuring smooth, efficient logistics processes across a high-volume e-commerce operation.

 Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Development
- Lead, motivate and continuously develop your warehouse team on the shop floor every shift.
- Support and represent the group leader in all daily operational and personnel matters.
- Conduct regular team meetings, individual feedback sessions and structured development conversations.
- Onboard, coach and train new employees to DHL quality standards and best practice logistics procedures.
Shift Management & Operational Control
- Actively manage personnel planning and shift scheduling to consistently hit throughput and performance targets.
- Ensure smooth, efficient and accurate logistics processes from start to finish across every shift.
- Coordinate closely with adjacent warehouse departments to maintain seamless end-to-end operational flow.
- Be visibly present on the warehouse floor — hands-on, available and driving results in real time.
Safety, Quality & Process Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with occupational safety regulations, health standards and DHL process protocols at all times.
- Uphold quality standards and process benchmarks across all warehouse activities during your shift.
- Proactively identify and address safety risks and operational inefficiencies before they escalate.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Several years of hands-on experience in logistics, warehouse logistics, e-commerce fulfilment or contract logistics.
- Initial leadership experience as a team leader or shift supervisor in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Solid working knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations applicable to warehouse operations.
Technical Skills
- Proficient use of MS Office applications and warehouse management / IT systems.
- Experience with automated warehouse systems is a strong advantage — AutoStore familiarity is a plus.
Personal Qualities
- Genuine ability to inspire, motivate and clearly lead people — present on the floor, not behind a screen.
- Strong communication skills, empathy and confident, calm decision-making under operational pressure.
- Willingness and flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends and busy peak periods.
- Very good German language skills and good English — both written and spoken are required for this role.
