Position Overview
The Quality Controller cum Nutritionist in Dubai is a genuinely unique dual-role position that combines two critical functions within one impactful job. Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Responsibilities
- Monitor daily food production, preparation, cooking, and packaging processes to ensure full compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all applicable food safety regulations across the entire production operation
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, storage, and dispatch areas and document all findings accurately and thoroughly
- Verify ingredient quality, freshness, and supplier compliance to ensure only specification-compliant ingredients enter production
- Ensure portion control, consistency, taste, and presentation standards are maintained across all meal production batches
- Maintain quality check reports, inspection logs, and corrective action records for all non-conformances identified
- Identify deviations and coordinate with the kitchen team immediately for correction before product reaches packaging or dispatch
- Support internal and external food safety audits and ensure all documentation is audit-ready at all times
- Ensure proper labeling, expiry date management, and allergen control across all meal products and packaging
Nutritionist Responsibilities
- Design balanced and customized meal plans tailored to specific customer goals including weight loss, fitness, medical diets, and lifestyle diets
- Calculate and validate calories, macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fats), and micronutrients for all meal plan offerings
- Ensure all meals align with recognized dietary guidelines and individual customer health goals with appropriate flexibility
- Work collaboratively with chefs to develop healthy, nutritious, and genuinely appealing menu items that balance taste and nutrition
- Review all ingredients for nutritional value and dietary suitability across different customer program requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date nutrition facts for all menu items and meal plan configurations
- Support development of specialized diet programs including keto, vegan, diabetic-friendly, low-carb, and high-protein plans
- Ensure full compliance with nutrition labeling standards for all products and meal plan packaging materials
- Stay continuously updated with the latest nutrition science research and emerging food and wellness trends in the UAE market
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with chefs, operations, procurement, and packaging teams to integrate quality and nutrition standards across the full production cycle
- Provide targeted training to kitchen staff on hygiene practices, accurate portioning, and practical nutrition standards
- Support marketing and customer service teams by supplying accurate, clear, and compelling nutritional information for customer communications

Experience Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in food quality control and/or professional nutrition planning within a food production environment
- Experience in meal delivery, catering, or cloud kitchen operations is strongly preferred for this role
- Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and nutrition compliance standards
- Proven ability to design customized meal plans, calculate macros, and develop specialized dietary programs
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, GMP frameworks, allergen management, and food safety regulatory requirements in UAE
- Proficiency in nutrition analysis tools and software for accurate macro and micronutrient calculations is a distinct advantage
