Position Overview

The FSQ Inspector at noon is the critical quality checkpoint across the entire food supply chain. You will be responsible for ensuring that all food product handling — specifically fragile grocery categories like Fresh Fruits & Vegetables, Dairy, Meat, and Bakery — meets established food safety, hygiene, regulatory, and customer requirements. Inspections, supplier audits, corrective actions, and customer complaint management are at the core of what you will own every day.

Why This Role Matters: As noon’s FSQ Inspector in Saudi Arabia, you are the last line of defence before a product reaches a customer’s door. You enforce HACCP and ISO 22000 compliance across a live, fast-moving supply chain. You audit vendors, flag deviations, train teams, and ensure that noon’s “Every door, every day” promise never compromises on food safety or quality — across thousands of daily orders in KSA alone.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Inspections

  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process production, finished goods, storage, and distribution channels
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards at every supply chain touchpoint
  • Focus on fragile grocery categories: Fresh Fruits & Vegetables, Dairy, Meat, and Bakery
  • Monitor product handling from vendor intake all the way through to last-mile store delivery

Supplier & Vendor Auditing

  • Audit suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to verify full compliance with noon’s food safety and quality criteria
  • Monitor and verify correct labeling, packaging, and complete traceability of all food products
  • Escalate and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for all identified nonconformities
  • Participate in both internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are resolved on time

Documentation & Compliance Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records, reports, checklists, and deviation logs with precision and consistency
  • Document all nonconformities and follow through on corrective and preventive action plans
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality policies
  • Keep compliance documentation current and audit-ready at all times

Team Training & Quality Culture

  • Provide practical training to warehouse and kitchen staff on food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and quality best practices
  • Build a quality-first culture across noon’s food handling teams in Saudi Arabia
  • Serve as the on-ground expert for all food safety questions, escalations, and incidents

Customer Complaints & Loss Control

  • Manage and investigate customer complaints related to food safety, quality, and product condition
  • Identify root causes of product losses and implement preventive measures to reduce waste and returns
  • Report complaint trends and quality failures with actionable recommendations for leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a closely related field

Certification Requirements

  • Relevant certification or formal training in food safety standards: HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, or GHP
  • Knowledge of regulatory food safety requirements applicable to Saudi Arabia and GCC markets

Experience Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in food safety, quality assurance, or inspection in a food-related industry
  • Prior experience in quick-commerce, FMCG grocery, or e-commerce food operations is strongly preferred

Essential Skills

  • Strong command of supply chain quality management from vendor intake to customer delivery
  • Excellent documentation, audit trail management, and deviation reporting skills
  • Ability to train, communicate with, and influence cross-functional teams on food safety practices
  • High attention to detail with a bias for action and problem-solving under pressure
