Position Overview
The Quality and Compliance Manager (QHSE) at this Dubai-based international organization is a senior leadership role with genuine global scope. You will serve as the central authority for all ISO-related documentation, audits, non-conformity closures, and certification renewals — spanning quality assurance, environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, and information security management. Key Responsibilities
ISO Integrated Management Systems — Global Scope
- Develop, implement, and standardize integrated management systems across headquarters and all international branches
- Lead all internal and external audits globally, ensuring timely identification and closure of non-conformities
- Serve as the central authority for all ISO-related documentation, system updates, and certification processes
- Facilitate global certification renewals and surveillance audits across all four ISO standards simultaneously
Quality Assurance
- Monitor and evaluate the global quality management system, defining and tracking measurable KPIs across all regions
- Drive continual improvement initiatives and embed best practices across all organizational locations
- Support operations teams in maintaining compliance with client-specific and regulatory quality requirements
Environmental, Health & Safety
- Ensure all branches fully adhere to ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards
- Conduct risk assessments, legal reviews, and EHS audits across all operating regions and jurisdictions
- Foster a strong sustainability culture and a zero-compromise approach to health and safety across the organization
Information Security — ISO 27001
- Oversee ISO 27001 implementation and full compliance across all organizational branches globally
- Conduct risk assessments and internal audits to identify vulnerabilities and safeguard critical information assets
- Coordinate global information security awareness campaigns and staff training programs
Documentation, Training & Reporting
- Maintain centralized, standardized documentation for all four ISO management systems across every location
- Develop and deliver tailored training programs to build staff awareness, competency, and compliance
- Prepare detailed compliance and performance reports for senior management and board-level stakeholders
- Collaborate with branch managers and department heads to ensure local adherence to global standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Information Technology, or a closely related field
Certification Requirements
- Certified Lead Auditor for all four standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 — this is a non-negotiable requirement
- Preferred additional certifications: NEBOSH, Six Sigma, or IRCA registration for senior compliance roles
Experience Requirements
- 7 to 8 years of auditing and compliance experience in a relevant industry — Marine, Oil & Gas, or Trading strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or Management Representative role with direct oversight of ISO systems
- Proven track record managing and maintaining ISO documentation processes at a multi-site or global level
- Strong working knowledge of UAE regulations and applicable international compliance standards
