 Position Overview

This Warehouse Employee position at Samsung SDS Smart Logistics in Bodenheim, Germany places you at the heart of modern logistics operations. You will prepare and forward warehouse orders, manage inbound and outbound bookings through SAP EWM, serve as the primary on-site contact for drivers and customer inquiries, maintain shipping document archives, and participate in inventory checks. Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Order Management

  • Prepare warehouse orders and forward tasks accurately to warehouse staff for timely processing
  • Track processing status of all outgoing and incoming orders to ensure operational efficiency
  • Archive shipping documents and maintain organized records for compliance and auditing purposes
  • Participate actively in regular inventory checks and scheduled stocktaking activities

Customer & Driver Communication

  • Serve as first point of contact on-site for truck drivers, logistics partners, and visiting personnel
  • Handle initial customer inquiries by phone or in writing with professionalism and accuracy
  • Delegate, track, and respond to customer inquiries ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve logistics challenges

SAP EWM System Operations

  • Execute inbound and outbound bookings precisely within the SAP EWM warehouse management system
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all warehouse management system entries
  • Apply strong IT understanding to navigate warehouse management tools and software effectively
  • Support system-driven reporting and ensure timely updates within the WMS platform

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Carry out various administrative tasks supporting smooth daily warehouse operations
  • Use MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook to manage correspondence and reporting
  • Work independently with high reliability and a strong sense of responsibility toward deadlines
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training — e.g., freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or comparable qualification
  • Equivalent commercial training in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain administration accepted

Experience Requirements

  • First professional experience in warehouse administration, logistics, or freight forwarding field
  • Good working knowledge of goods receipt, storage, handling, and outbound shipping processes
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, particularly SAP EWM or comparable WMS platforms

Essential Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and a high sense of responsibility in daily operations
  • Reliable, independent working style with ability to manage priorities without close supervision
  • Flexibility, strong teamwork skills, and proven resilience under operational pressure
  • Good command of common MS Office programs — Word, Excel, Outlook required
  • Fluent German and English language skills at minimum B2 level in both written and spoken communication
