Key Responsibilities
Food Safety Monitoring & Compliance
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all applicable food safety standards and hygiene regulations across restaurant operations
- Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage facilities, kitchen equipment, and service zones
- Identify food safety risks, hygiene non-conformances, and operational quality issues — documenting and escalating findings promptly
- Ensure all restaurant operations consistently align with Saudi food safety regulatory requirements and brand quality standards
Quality Control & Operational Standards Auditing
- Monitor daily operational standards across food preparation, handling, storage, and service to ensure consistent quality delivery
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced quality audits across all restaurant functions and areas of operation
- Evaluate adherence to product quality specifications, portion consistency, presentation standards, and food handling procedures
- Proactively identify gaps in operational quality and recommend corrective measures to restaurant management
Reporting, Documentation & Data Accuracy
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and well-structured quality reports for management outlining inspection findings and quality trends
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all quality checks, audit results, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
- Track recurring quality issues and compile data-driven summaries to support management decision-making and improvement planning
- Ensure all quality records are filed correctly and available for internal reviews and external compliance inspections when required
Hygiene Standards & Sanitation Oversight
- Oversee adherence to personal hygiene requirements, uniform standards, and sanitation protocols for all kitchen and service staff
- Verify that cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and pest control programmes are followed correctly and consistently
- Monitor food temperature controls, storage rotation practices, and expiry management to prevent food safety violations
- Support the implementation of hygiene improvement initiatives and communicate hygiene standards clearly to relevant team members
Team Communication & Quality Culture
- Communicate quality findings, improvement recommendations, and corrective actions clearly to operations and management teams
- Support the development of a strong quality and food safety culture across all levels of the restaurant team
- Assist in training and awareness activities related to food safety, hygiene compliance, and operational quality standards
- Build collaborative relationships with kitchen, service, and management teams to drive continuous quality improvement
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Safety, Hospitality Management, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred
- Food safety certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or Saudi Authority for Food and Drug (SFDA) compliance training are a plus
Experience Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in quality control or quality assurance — preferably within a restaurant, hotel, or F&B environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of food safety standards and hygiene regulations in Saudi Arabia or the GCC
- Proven ability to conduct quality audits, document findings accurately, and prepare clear management reports
