Position Overview
This Production Supervisor role at Taaza involves overseeing day-to-day fresh produce manufacturing operations in Dubai’s fast-paced FMCG environment. Key Responsibilities
Production Floor Leadership
- Supervise and lead the production team to consistently meet daily manufacturing targets and output goals
- Monitor all production activities to ensure processes run efficiently, safely, and on schedule
- Coordinate shift handovers, staff deployment, and task allocation across the production floor
- Drive a culture of accountability, quality consciousness, and continuous improvement among all team members
Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure full adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and strict hygiene standards at all times
- Conduct regular production floor checks and audits to maintain product quality and compliance
- Identify and resolve quality deviations swiftly to minimise impact on production output and product integrity
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation in line with all applicable regulatory requirements
Operations & Process Management
- Monitor and report on key production KPIs including yield rates, waste levels, efficiency, and downtime
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement practical, data-driven improvements to boost throughput
- Coordinate with maintenance, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow
- Manage raw material handling, storage, and usage in strict accordance with fresh produce quality standards
Team Development & Communication
- Train, mentor, and develop production staff to continuously raise individual and team skill levels
- Communicate production plans, shift goals, and operational updates clearly and consistently to all staff
- Report production performance metrics, operational issues, and improvement recommendations to senior management
- Foster a safe, respectful, and highly motivated working environment throughout the production facility
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a closely related technical field
- Additional certifications in food safety, HACCP, or quality management are a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on work experience in the FMCG or food production manufacturing industry
- Proven background in fresh produce processing or a similar perishable food manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a production or manufacturing setting
