Position Overview
This Electrical Technician – Installation role involves installing and commissioning equipment according to supervisor instructions, executing installation works including reading drawings, panel wiring, field termination, cable containment, and electrical testing. You will use suitable PPE, follow strict safety procedures, carry out periodical maintenance checks, and support other disciplines in reaching overall project goals across baggage and cargo handling projects in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
- Install and commission equipment according to the supervisor’s instructions
- Execute installation works, including reading drawings and panel wiring
- Perform field termination, cable containment, and cable glands installation
- Carry out electrical testing and support commissioning activities
Safety & Compliance
- Fully comply with SOPs and Site Safety rules and regulations
- Use suitable PPE and strictly adhere to safety procedures at all times
- Take appropriate precautions during working hours to ensure a safe environment
- Remain responsible and accountable for occupational health, safety, security, and quality
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Carry out periodical checks and maintenance inspections per the checklist
- Assist other disciplines and teams in reaching overall project goals

- Apply technical troubleshooting on automated systems when issues arise
Tool Management & Team Coordination
- Take charge of tools required for the shift’s job task and ensure proper usage

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical or Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certification, or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing and commissioning electrical equipment
- Experience in Industrial Automation projects or Baggage/Material Handling Systems
Technical Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of operations, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting of automated systems
- Good understanding of Baggage/Material Handling Systems flow
- Strong analytical skills for problem diagnosis and root cause analysis
