Position Overview
The Head of Supply Chain at Medi-Globe Technologies is a senior, strategically positioned role responsible for the complete performance of the national supply chain — from S&OP and demand planning through to logistics, inventory management, vendor scheduling, and customer service excellence. As a key business partner to Commercial, Operations, R&D, and Global Supply Chain leadership, you will lead process simplification and standardisation, champion a KPI-driven culture, and ensure seamless new product introductions. This role demands strong analytical thinking, deep S&OP expertise, and the ability to influence and align complex stakeholder environments in a regulated medical technology context.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & S&OP Leadership
- Lead and own the national S&OP process, ensuring full alignment across demand, supply, and financial plans
- Establish simplified, structured planning processes that drive transparency, accountability, and cross-functional clarity
- Manage short- and mid-term demand and supply planning to optimally balance service levels, cost, and inventory positions
- Improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias through disciplined, data-driven planning methodologies and tools
- Identify and communicate supply chain risks and opportunities within the S&OP cycle with sound escalation judgement
Service Excellence & Customer Operations
- Ensure best-in-class customer service with a strong and unwavering focus on OTIF delivery performance
- Proactively manage and resolve back orders through sustainable, root-cause corrective actions
- Oversee customer service operations to maintain high satisfaction levels across all markets and client segments
- Act as the central coordination point for all national supply chain activities impacting commercial and customer outcomes
Portfolio & Inventory Management
- Own the inventory strategy to optimise working capital while maintaining required service levels across the product portfolio
- Conduct portfolio performance reviews including ABC analysis in collaboration with Franchise Leads
- Monitor stock levels, safety stock parameters, obsolescence risk, and inventory turns across all product categories
- Reduce excess and slow-moving inventory and support financial reporting, governance, and audit requirements
Logistics, Vendor Scheduling & Supplier Collaboration
- Ensure logistics operations consistently meet service, quality, and cost KPIs through active partner management
- Continuously optimise logistics cost structures and manage partners through defined SLAs and performance reviews
- Lead vendor scheduling to ensure reliable, uninterrupted material flow into and through the supply chain
- Build strong supplier relationships focused on performance, flexibility, and long-term supply continuity
New Product Introduction & Continuous Improvement
- Lead supply chain readiness for all new product introductions, ensuring seamless and on-time transition to commercialisation
- Collaborate closely with R&D and NPI project teams on timelines, milestones, launch scenarios, and risk management
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain through data insights and structured change management
- Lead or support strategic transformation programmes that simplify, standardise, and elevate supply chain operations
Stakeholder Management & Process Governance
- Build trusted relationships with Commercial, Production, R&D, suppliers, and global leadership as a strategic supply chain partner
- Define and maintain governance structures, roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across all supply chain functions
- Communicate risks, constraints, and trade-offs clearly and proactively — providing data-driven recommendations and scenario analyses
- Promote a KPI-driven, analytical culture that continuously improves agility, responsiveness, and cross-functional alignment
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional certifications in supply chain or operations management (APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent) are a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience across supply chain functions including planning, logistics, and customer service
- Strong expertise in S&OP and integrated business planning in complex, multi-product environments
- Proven ability to design, simplify, and continuously improve end-to-end supply chain processes
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices, manufacturing, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success influencing decisions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments across commercial and operational functions
Language & Competency Requirement
- Fluency in both German and English — written and spoken — required for effective communication across all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven and commercially aware mindset
