Position Overview
This Water Pumping Operator role involves operating and monitoring water treatment and distribution systems from the control room using SCADA/control systems. You will track operational parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, voltage, and current, perform equipment start-up, shutdown, and routine operations per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), respond to alarms and emergency situations, and maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and water quality reports.

 Key Responsibilities
Control Room & System Monitoring
- Operate and monitor water treatment and distribution systems from the control room using SCADA/control systems
- Monitor operational parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, voltage, and current to ensure efficient plant performance
- Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, and routine operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Emergency Response & Documentation
- Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations to maintain uninterrupted operations
- Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and water quality reports
- Monitor operational KPIs and support process improvements to enhance plant efficiency
Team Supervision & Compliance
- Supervise and guide operational staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety standards
- Support training and development of team members
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and data confidentiality requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager
Qualifications & Requirements
