EthosEnergy is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate CNC lathes, in particular the Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe, in accordance with competence, manufacturers’ operating instructions and laid-down QHSE policies and procedures — ensuring products requested in Work Orders are manufactured and delivered within the required time frame and quality standards.

Position Overview
This CNC Machinist role involves setting up and operating CNC lathes, particularly the Hankook Protec 9NC, checking cutting tools and materials, coordinating with the QC Inspector after completion of work, reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, observing machine operation to detect malfunctions, selecting and securing fixtures and cutting tools, and programming Fanuc CNC controls to deliver precision components on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities
CNC Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up and operate CNC machines, particularly the Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe, per Work Order requirements
- Set and operate CNC lathes including Hankook 9NC, Doosan 800 and Doosan 400
- Program Fanuc CNC controls, including Fanuc 21i-TB and Fanuc 32i Model B
- Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials on the machine
Quality, Blueprints & Precision
- Visually check cutting tools and materials before commencing work, reporting defects as appropriate
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and specifications for dimensions and tolerances
- Coordinate with the QC Inspector after completion of the work
- Use precision measuring equipment for dimensional checking of components
Machine Monitoring & Adjustment
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Adjust machine controls as required to maintain quality and tolerance standards
Safety, Housekeeping & Handover
- Operate the machine safely in accordance with QHSE policies and procedures
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and cleanliness of the working area
- Ensure an effective hand-over is carried out at the beginning and end of each shift
- Perform other related field, maintenance or shop duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Trade Machinist with a minimum of 7 years’ previous experience working with CNC lathes
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working specifically on the Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe
- API equipment manufacture and repair experience
- API threading experience; premium threading experience is desirable
- Extensive experience in a workshop environment for oil and gas companies preferred
Essential Skills
- Expert-level programming, setting and operating of CNC lathes, particularly the Hankook Protec 9NC
- Proficiency programming Fanuc 21i-TB and Fanuc 32i Model B controls
- Skilled use of precision measuring equipment for dimensional checking
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Education Requirements
- Trade Machinist qualification with a minimum of 7 years’ CNC lathe experience
- Matriculation certificate preferred
Physical Requirements
- Light physical effort with the ability to work in an industrial workshop environment
- May require travel across the Middle East and GCC countries
