Position Overview
This Part-Time Engineering Working Student role at Siemens Energy Grid Technologies in Abu Dhabi supports senior engineers with fundamental engineering calculations, data collection, and technical analysis for substation projects, assists in preparing and modifying technical drawings and schematics using CAD software under supervision, helps review technical specifications and project documentation, participates in team meetings to stay informed on project status, contributes to creation and maintenance of essential project documentation including reports and technical records, and supports organisation of engineering files and drawings within the company’s document management system.

- Support senior engineers with fundamental engineering calculations, data collection, and technical analysis for substation projects
- Assist in preparing and modifying technical drawings and schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD) under direct supervision
- Help review technical specifications and project documentation to strengthen understanding of project requirements and engineering standards
Documentation, Records & Project Support
- Contribute to the creation, formatting, and maintenance of essential project documentation — reports, lists, and technical records
- Support the organisation of engineering files and drawings within the company’s document management system
- Provide general administrative support to help the engineering team operate smoothly and efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree programme in Electrical Engineering, Electric-Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Solid foundation in core engineering principles gained through academic coursework — genuine eagerness to apply knowledge in a real-world setting
- Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD for technical drawing support
- Ability to support basic data analysis tasks using common engineering and analytical tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks
