Position Overview
This MEP Electrical Engineer role at Designs & Dimensions designs electrical systems, implements power distribution solutions, and collaborates with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver projects efficiently across commercial, institutional, and specialist built environments. The engineer oversees electrical designs, ensures compliance with UAE safety standards and codes, manages power systems for diverse projects, interprets technical drawings and electrical plans, applies relevant engineering software, and works closely with the project team to ensure high-quality technical solutions and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Design & Power Distribution
- Design electrical systems for commercial, institutional, hotel, hospital, airport, shopping complex, and offshore interior projects
- Implement power distribution solutions across diverse project types within Dubai and the UAE
- Oversee electrical designs end-to-end — from concept and detailed design through implementation and completion
- Interpret technical drawings and electrical plans to ensure accurate, buildable design deliverables
Compliance, Safety & Standards
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with UAE safety standards, local authority requirements, and relevant electrical codes
- Manage power systems for projects of varying scale and complexity across multiple sectors
- Apply relevant engineering software and tools to produce accurate, code-compliant electrical design deliverables
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration & Project Delivery
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary project teams to deliver MEP electrical solutions efficiently and on schedule
- Work closely with the project team to ensure high-quality technical solutions and timely delivery at every stage

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering principles
- Strong knowledge of electricity and power systems — design, sizing, and operation
- Expertise in power distribution and related operational procedures
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical plans accurately
