Position Overview
The Assistant Regional Quality Assurance Manager at Almarai’s Dammam operations is a high-impact regional leadership role responsible for ensuring business performance and improving customer satisfaction through rigorous Quality and Food Safety Management System compliance across the Eastern Province region. You will implement the HACCP program covering all food safety risks in Storage and Distribution, lead a comprehensive regional audit plan against ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and ISO 14001 standards, conduct AIBI inspections, direct regional QA teams in day-to-day operations, manage risk and drive problem-solving, and report regional KPI performance to senior leadership — all in line with Almarai’s core principle of delivering quality consumers can trust.

Key Responsibilities
1. HACCP Program Implementation — Regional Level
- Implement and sustain a comprehensive HACCP Program at regional level that covers all food safety risks associated with Storage and Distribution operations across the Eastern Province
- Ensure all Critical Control Points (CCPs) and prerequisite programs are correctly identified, monitored, verified, and documented in full compliance with HACCP principles and Almarai standards
- Lead investigations into any food safety non-conformances or deviations within the region and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively and on time
2. Regional Audit Program — ISO 9001, ISO 22000 & ISO 14001
- Develop and implement a comprehensive regional audit plan and conduct structured internal audits against ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 22000 (Food Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards and Almarai’s internal quality standards
- Prepare clear, well-structured audit reports with findings, risk ratings, and actionable corrective actions — presenting results to regional and group management stakeholders
- Follow up on all audit findings to verify timely and effective closure of corrective actions across all audited sites and functions within the region
3. AIBI Inspection Program
- Implement the regional AIBI (American Institute of Baking International) inspection plan and conduct inspections across assigned regional sites and distribution points against AIBI food safety and quality standards
- Coordinate preparation activities for AIBI inspections, ensuring all sites are audit-ready and teams are trained on AIBI requirements and expectations
- Manage post-inspection corrective action plans and ensure all AIBI findings are closed within agreed timelines to maintain certification and compliance status
4. Regional QA Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, direct, and develop the regional QA teams to provide comprehensive, high-quality day-to-day service supporting all core regional activities and associated quality processes
- Formulate and implement regional quality strategies, solve complex operational problems, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage risk across all regional quality functions
- Build a continuous improvement culture within regional QA teams — coaching and developing team members to raise quality and food safety standards consistently across all sites
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain teams to align quality management with broader regional business objectives
5. Regional KPI Monitoring & Reporting
- Record, measure, monitor, and report on all Regional Quality KPIs through established methodologies and generate accurate, timely regular reports for regional and group senior management
- Analyze quality performance data and trends to identify emerging risks, systemic weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement across the regional distribution and storage network
- Optimize the use of regional quality resources and activities to achieve business objectives efficiently and in alignment with Almarai’s group-level quality strategy
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Science or Engineering discipline — Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent fields are highly preferred
Experience Requirements
- 5–6 years of directly relevant experience within the quality function of an FMCG industry company — food, dairy, beverage, or related sector
- Proven, hands-on experience in ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 / HACCP implementation with solid grounding in Distribution and Logistics quality management
- Prior experience working in the Middle East is required — strong understanding of regional food safety regulatory requirements and business culture is essential
