Key Responsibilities
Chemical Synthesis, Analysis & Laboratory Testing
- Conduct comprehensive chemical synthesis, analysis, and testing using advanced laboratory techniques and precision instrumentation to support all assigned R&D research objectives at SGS Dubai
- Operate and maintain a wide range of laboratory instruments — applying analytical techniques relevant to the specific research project — ensuring all measurements are accurate, repeatable, and documented to the highest scientific standard
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during chemical synthesis or testing activities — implementing well-reasoned corrective actions to resolve research challenges efficiently and without compromising data integrity
Experiment Design, Execution & Documentation
- Design and execute structured experiments following established SGS protocols and scientific best practices — recording all procedures, observations, measurements, and results with meticulous precision and completeness
- Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready laboratory notebooks, experimental records, and data management systems — ensuring the full traceability and reproducibility of all R&D work conducted at the Dubai facility
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and laboratory safety protocols throughout every stage of experimental work — with zero tolerance for unsafe practices
Data Analysis, Technical Reporting & Insights
- Analyze experimental data with rigorous statistical and scientific methodology — interpreting findings objectively, identifying meaningful trends, and drawing conclusions that are clearly grounded in the evidence generated
- Prepare comprehensive, well-structured technical reports summarizing experimental findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for internal R&D stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Chemical Formulation Development & Process Optimization
- Develop and optimize chemical formulations and production processes — systematically improving efficiency, yield, purity, stability, and product quality through structured R&D experimentation and data analysis
- Evaluate alternative raw materials, processing conditions, and formulation approaches to identify opportunities for cost reduction, performance enhancement, and regulatory compliance improvement
- Support scale-up activities by providing technical input on formulation feasibility, process parameters, and quality control requirements for production transition
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Regulatory Support
- Collaborate actively with quality assurance, production, and regulatory affairs teams to align R&D activities with product development timelines, quality standards, and regulatory submission requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry — with strong academic grounding in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, or a closely related chemical science discipline
