Position Overview
This Plant Maintenance Technician role is responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets at Alta Dena Dairy. The position ensures continued operation of machinery and equipment across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems by completing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Machinery Maintenance
- Care for and maintain all property and production assets
- Ensure continued operation of machinery in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic capacities
- Complete planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, and processing equipment
- Maintain utility systems supporting plant operations
Technical Systems Support
- Work with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Support computer-controlled equipment, PLC systems, and HVAC
- Maintain lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment
- Use basic hand tools and perform precise measurement calculations
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience Requirements
- Three years of experience required in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility
- Minimum one year experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably food and beverage industry
- Minimum one year experience with one or more of: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and/or HVAC
- Minimum one year experience with lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, or packaging equipment
- Must pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks
Essential Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to handle basic hand tools
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for most of the shift; occasional climbing or balancing
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Comfortable working in a cold, wet environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
