Position Overview
Finance is where all numbers and data meet, and this role sits in the middle of it. You are responsible for the technical coordination of monthly and annual closings under HGB, including local and group reporting. You steer the accounting process from preparation to follow-up, work with auditors and tax advisors, and keep improving how the team works.

Key Responsibilities
Closings, Reporting & Tax
- Coordinate the monthly and annual closings under HGB, including local and group-wide reporting and VAT pre-returns
- Steer and monitor the accounting and closing process from preparation to follow-up
- Prepare tax returns, check tax assessments and make sure VAT and other legal and internal reporting duties are met
Stakeholders, Audits & Team
- Act as central contact for tax advisors, auditors, tax inspectors and internal departments
- Plan and coordinate audits and tax inspections
- Lead, develop and support the accounting team
Process Improvement & Projects
- Continuously improve and develop the financial accounting processes
- Lead department projects, such as better reporting or process digitalization
- Take accounting responsibility in company-wide projects, such as introducing a new ERP system
Qualifications & Profile — What You Bring
Essential Requirements
- Completed Bilanzbuchhalter qualification with several years of experience in an industrial setting
- Solid knowledge of financial accounting, including monthly, quarterly and annual closings under HGB
- Several years of experience improving, digitalizing and standardizing finance processes in a food production company
- Experience leading people and building strong accounting teams
- Confident use of IT tools, especially MS Excel, ideally Power BI
- Strong analytical and time management skills, plus a structured way of working across production, sales, purchasing, logistics and controlling
- Initiative, drive and a strong sense of responsibility
- Good written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Industry experience with standard costing, inventory valuation, inventory accounting and production costs
- Experience introducing a new ERP or optimizing a production ERP, preferably Infor
