Position Overview
The Bartender warmly welcomes every guest, establishing a professional connection while understanding their needs. This role mixes drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages in compliance with hotel standard recipes, serves wine and beer, arranges attractive bar displays, provides recommendations for drinks and snacks, and maintains a clean, well-organized bar area throughout service

Key Responsibilities
Guest Welcome & Service
- Warmly welcome every guest and establish a professional connection by understanding their needs
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make personalized recommendations
- Provide guidance to guests on resort activities, dining options, and general resort information
Beverage Preparation & Compliance
- Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered, in compliance with hotel standard drink recipes
- Check identification to ensure guests meet age requirements for alcohol and tobacco purchases
- Serve wine and beer, and prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
- Determine when a guest has had too much alcohol and politely refuse further service if required
Sales & Upselling
- Sell or influence others through upselling and suggestive selling techniques
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions
Bar Maintenance & Inventory
- Keep the bar counter and work area neat and clean at all times, including glassware washing and general cleaning duties
- Maintain liquor and tobacco inventories and monitor consumption
- Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
Cash Handling & Compliance
- Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
- Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures per hotel standard
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
