Position Overview
This Chemical Plant / Process Operator role involves operating reactors, mixers, pumps, and other process equipment per approved SOPs and batch instructions, charging raw materials, and monitoring process parameters. You will perform routine inspections and record process data, collect product samples for quality control, identify and report process deviations, and maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities
Process Equipment Operation
- Operate reactors, mixers, pumps, and other process equipment per approved SOPs and batch instructions
- Charge raw materials, monitor process parameters, and ensure batches are completed safely and efficiently
- Support maintenance, troubleshooting, startup, shutdown, and continuous improvement activities
Quality Control & Documentation
- Perform routine inspections and record process data, production results, and equipment status
- Collect product samples and support quality control activities to ensure compliance with specifications
- Identify and report process deviations, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns promptly
Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and workplace safety in the production area
- Follow basic safety regulations and develop understanding of company QHSE standards and procedures
- Follow instructions from the Production Supervisor and Senior Operators for day-to-day activities
- Participate in the sustainability program
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Minimum Higher Secondary School level (Grade 12) and/or ITI (Technical Trades), or relevant industry experience
Experience Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Chemical Process Industries
- Minimum 2 years excluding training period, and/or minimum 1 year as Assistant Operator
Specialized Knowledge
- Field operations in the chemical process industry
- Operation of pumps, compressors, reactors, columns, and tank farms
Essential Skills
- Basic communication skills in English, written and verbal
- Basic mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
- Good physical strength and health
- Basic understanding of equipment operations in the production section
