Position Overview
This Fit Out Site Engineer role at Maklad Design in Dubai covers the full lifecycle of interior fit-out project supervision — from overseeing installation and finishing works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and project standards, conducting QA/QC inspections, coordinating with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, through to snagging, handover inspections, and final project completion. Key Responsibilities
Fit-Out & Finishing Works Supervision
- Supervise and monitor all fit-out and finishing works on site from start to completion
- Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Monitor materials and workmanship to ensure high-quality execution across all finishing trades
- Review site progress and ensure timely delivery of finishing works within the agreed project programme
QA/QC Inspections & Quality Management
- Conduct regular QA/QC inspections and ensure strict compliance with quality requirements at every stage
- Prepare daily and weekly site reports and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation throughout the project
- Assist in snagging, handover inspections, and final project completion activities
- Apply solid background in QA/QC inspection and quality control procedures across all fit-out disciplines
Subcontractor & Site Coordination
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage subcontractors on site to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications
- Apply good understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination to keep works on track
- Handle multiple site activities simultaneously with efficiency, organization, and attention to detail
Technical Issue Resolution & Site Safety
- Identify, report, and resolve site and technical issues efficiently to minimize project impact
- Ensure safety standards and site procedures are strictly followed at all times across all trades and activities
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately to guide on-site execution

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (REQUIRED)
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of UAE experience specifically in interior fit-out projects (REQUIRED)
- Strong experience in finishing works including joinery, flooring, painting, ceiling systems, and related interior trades
- Solid background in QA/QC inspection and quality control procedures within a fit-out environment
- Knowledge of materials, construction methods, and site execution standards applicable to UAE fit-out projects
- Familiarity with fit-out workflows and site coordination practices in the UAE market
Field & Technical Skills
- Strong site supervision and finishing execution experience across multiple fit-out trades simultaneously
