Global SQE Manager Position Overview
This is a strategic role. You will define how supplier quality works across regions, from qualification and approval to audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement. When a critical supplier issue threatens production, you coordinate the cross-functional response and protect the customer. The goal is simple: fewer defects, fewer disruptions and a lower cost of poor quality.
Why This Role Matters
One failed component can stop a production line or trigger a costly warranty claim. A strong supplier quality leader prevents those failures upstream, which directly protects revenue, reputation and customer trust.

- Lead and develop the global SQE team, and manage budgets and priorities.
- Run supplier qualification, approval and validation processes.

- Ensure APQP, PPAP and Safe Launch activities are properly implemented.
- Escalate and resolve critical supplier quality issues across teams.
- Use quality data and analytics to spot trends and supplier risks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience, or a master’s degree plus 10 years.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing such as electronics, automotive, aerospace or medical.
- Proven leadership across multiple sites, regions or business units.
- Strong knowledge of audits, quality systems, CAPA and supplier development.
- Practical command of APQP, PPAP and structured problem-solving.
- Understanding of defect reduction, cost of poor quality and warranty exposure.
- Skills in ERP systems, business intelligence and data analysis.
- Excellent spoken and written English and strong change-management skills.
