Key Responsibilities
Fertilizer Analysis & Formulation Development
- Perform comprehensive quality control testing on NPK, SSP, TSP, SOP, and water-soluble fertilizer products
- Conduct micronutrient and elemental analysis to verify product composition and specification compliance
- Develop, improve, and optimise fertilizer formulations through systematic experimentation and data-driven analysis
- Evaluate raw materials and finished fertilizer products for quality, purity, and regulatory compliance requirements
Pesticide Formulation & Active Ingredient Analysis
- Analyse pesticide formulations and active ingredients (AI) using HPLC, GC, and other validated analytical methods
- Support pesticide product development from concept through formulation trials, testing, and final product release
- Apply knowledge of pest management principles and crop physiology to guide pesticide formulation and efficacy evaluation
- Ensure all pesticide products comply with UAE and international regulatory requirements for agricultural chemicals
Analytical Instrumentation & Laboratory Operations
- Operate HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer for product testing and analytical method validation
- Use pH meters, conductivity meters, and auto titrators for routine quality control and process monitoring activities
- Perform laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate and reliable testing results
- Conduct water and wastewater analysis as part of environmental and process monitoring responsibilities
SOP Development, COA & Quality Management
- Develop, write, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory testing and formulation activities
- Prepare accurate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and product specifications for all tested and released products
- Maintain GLP/GMP compliance and accurate laboratory documentation across all R&D and quality control activities
- Support ISO 17025 quality management system implementation, maintenance, and internal audit activities
Product R&D & Innovation
- Design and execute research experiments to support new product development in fertilizer and pesticide categories
- Analyse experimental data, draw meaningful scientific conclusions, and communicate findings to the R&D and management team
- Monitor batch quality control and production process compliance to ensure consistent product quality at scale
- Contribute creative, innovative ideas to sustainable agricultural product development aligned with company R&D goals
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.Sc) or PhD in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, Agronomy, or a closely related scientific discipline
- Specialisation in Analytical Chemistry, Fertilizer Technology, Pesticide Science, or Formulation Chemistry is a valued advantage
Experience Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on R&D or quality control experience specifically within the fertilizer or pesticide manufacturing industry
- Proven proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques — HPLC, GC, FTIR, spectroscopy, and related instrumentation
