Position Overview
This Grain Plant Operator role supports daily facility operations at Cargill’s Tipton, IN location within the Ag & Trading enterprise. You will handle receiving and shipping of products such as fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and grain, perform basic maintenance and operator care of equipment, provide excellent customer service, and follow all safety rules to maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations
- Perform facility operations such as receiving and shipping products, including fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and grain
- Support smooth daily plant operations across the Tipton facility
Equipment Maintenance & Operator Care
- Perform basic maintenance and operator care of equipment to ensure ongoing facility operations
- Apply basic mechanical aptitude to identify and address minor equipment issues
Customer Service & Teamwork
- Provide excellent customer service to producers and business partners
- Engage effectively and collaboratively with team members across shifts
Safety & Workplace Standards
- Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Work Environment Requirements
- Basic use of a computer
- Must be able to work in various weather, industrial, and agricultural settings
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude
