Poition Overview
The Inventory Planner for EO MRO develops and maintains demand forecasts for EOIR production and MRO activities, using historical consumption, repair trends, and production schedules. You will plan inventory levels for EO components, electronic modules, mechanical parts, optics, and consumables; keep safety stock and reorder points in line with criticality, lead times, and repair turnaround targets; raise purchase requisitions in the ERP system; coordinate with Procurement on RFQs and vendor selection; track purchase orders and chase suppliers; maintain material master data, BOM structures, and inventory parameters; monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliations; liaise with the MRO team on the repair pipeline; and produce reports and dashboards that keep management informed about shortages, supplier risks, and mitigation plans — all while following defence regulations, traceability requirements, and quality standards.
Why This Role Matters: In defence MRO, a missing component can hold up a repair, delay a return to service, and leave a customer waiting. As Inventory Planner, you make sure the right parts are in the right place at the right time — by reading demand early, setting sensible safety stock, chasing suppliers before delays grow, and keeping records clean enough to pass any audit. Careful planning protects schedules, controls cost, and keeps critical equipment ready for use.

- Maintain safety stock levels and reorder points based on criticality, lead times, and repair turnaround targets
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions

- Coordinate with Procurement on RFQs, vendor selection, and commercial alignment
- Track PO status and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of critical EOIR components and spares
- Monitor supplier lead times and escalate delays that affect production or MRO schedules
- Keep proper documentation and compliance for controlled, ITAR-sensitive, or classified components
ERP & System Management
- Update and maintain material master data, BOM structures, inventory parameters, and supplier information in the ERP system
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock reconciliation

- Produce inventory status reports, PR/PO tracking reports, material availability dashboards, and risk assessments
- Give management regular updates on material shortages, supplier risks, and mitigation plans, and support budgeting and cost-control initiatives
