Key Responsibilities
Freight Coordination & Shipment Planning
- Coordinate daily freight, logistics, transportation, and delivery activities across Zahr Freighters’ full operations portfolio
- Plan and monitor shipment schedules to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods for all clients
- Coordinate with drivers, freight partners, warehouses, customers, and service providers to align all logistics activities
- Monitor shipment delays, delivery issues, and discrepancies — arranging appropriate and timely solutions to minimise impact
Shipment Tracking & Customer Communication
- Track all active shipments in real time and provide accurate, timely status updates to customers and management
- Verify shipment details, quantities, and all supporting documentation before dispatch to prevent errors and delays
- Coordinate loading, unloading, collection, and delivery activities with relevant warehouse and operations teams
- Handle customer queries related to shipment status, delivery timelines, and freight documentation professionally
Documentation, Records & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain all shipping documents, delivery notes, invoices, and logistics records accurately and on time
- Maintain complete and accurate records of freight movements, transportation activities, and delivery schedules
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with Zahr Freighters’ company procedures and applicable UAE regulations
- Prepare logistics reports and provide clear operational updates to management on freight performance and issues
Cost Monitoring & Operational Improvement
- Assist in monitoring transportation costs and identifying practical opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements across freight coordination, documentation, and delivery management workflows
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve operational issues quickly and prevent recurrence across the logistics function
- Support management with data-driven operational analysis using ERP and MS Office tools for logistics reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Experience Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain operations
