Position Overview

The Logistics Support Specialist at EDGE Group in Abu Dhabi supports the coordination and planning of logistics for military exercises, training events and operational activities — translating operational requirements into practical logistics plans, coordinating supply, equipment, transport, medical support and ammunition-related activities, and maintaining accurate records and tracking information across all logistics operations. Working as a key liaison between military personnel, contractors and internal support teams, this professional ensures that every logistics element — from stock visibility and asset movement to medical coverage and transport scheduling — is effectively planned, delivered and monitored against operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Military Logistics Planning & Coordination

• Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics support for military exercises, training events and operational activities — translating complex operational requirements into clear, practical logistics plans, schedules and support arrangements.
• Coordinate with diverse stakeholders — military personnel, contractors and internal support teams — to ensure all resources, services and support requirements are fully aligned to activity needs and timelines.
• Monitor logistics implementation continuously — identifying and highlighting risks, delays or changes that could impact delivery, and escalating issues for rapid resolution to maintain operational readiness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in logistics efficiency, coordination and delivery performance — bringing a proactive, improvement-oriented mindset to every operational activity.

Supply, Equipment & Transport Coordination

• Coordinate supply, equipment, vehicle and service support activities — including storage management, distribution, issue, replenishment and return of military supplies and operational equipment.
• Support real-time visibility of stock levels, asset movements and service support requirements — ensuring all logistics stakeholders have accurate, up-to-date operational information.
• Assist in transport and movement coordination for personnel, equipment and materials — tracking deliveries proactively, resolving transit issues quickly and maintaining accurate movement records.
• Support ammunition forecasting, record keeping and compliance with applicable procedures and regulatory requirements — maintaining full traceability and documentation accuracy.

Medical Support, Records & Stakeholder Liaison

• Assist in coordinating medical and ambulance support requirements for military activities — ensuring appropriate medical coverage is always in place and escalating any gaps or risks to the appropriate authority promptly.
• Act as a professional liaison between military personnel, contractors and internal EDGE Group teams — ensuring clear, timely, respectful and operationally accurate communication across all stakeholder groups.
• Monitor logistics activity against plans — maintaining accurate records, operational reports and tracking information in compliance with EDGE Group’s standards and security requirements.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with applicable safety, security and operational requirements — supporting contingency planning and proactive issue resolution across all phases of military support operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics, supply support, transport coordination or operational support — demonstrating practical capability in planning and executing logistics activities in complex environments.
• Experience within defence, government or contractor-led environments is strongly valued — providing familiarity with the operational, security and compliance context of military logistics support.
• Strong experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders in complex, dynamic environments — essential for managing the diverse stakeholder landscape of EDGE Group’s military logistics activities.
• Comfortable working in a civilian role that directly supports military activities — adapting effectively to the operational tempo, security requirements and professional standards of a defence environment.
