Position Overview
This Machine Vision & Lasermarking Application Software role develops software and application solutions for machine vision and lasermarking applications, actively contributing to the development of in-house software platforms, particularly deep learning library integration and .NET-based software. You will define requirements, commission and monitor external service providers, act as technical advisor supporting application engineers, independently conduct technology benchmarks in lasermarking and image processing, and work closely with robotics, control systems, and workshop teams during integration, commissioning, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities
Software & Application Development
- Develop software and application solutions for machine vision and lasermarking applications
- Actively contribute to the development of in-house software platforms, particularly deep learning library integration and .NET-based software
Requirements & Service Provider Management
- Describe requirements, commission external service providers, and monitor their performance
Technical Advisory
- Act as technical advisor supporting application engineers on technical questions
Technology Benchmarking
- Independently conduct technology benchmarks in lasermarking and image processing
Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with robotics, control systems, and workshop teams during integration, commissioning, and optimization
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- A completed degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a technician qualification with several years of relevant practical experience
Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of C# and software development
- Ideally familiar with image processing and basic knowledge of lasermarking – experience with common systems like Keyence or Cognex is a plus
Essential Skills
- Very good German and English language skills
- Willingness for occasional business travel
- A results-oriented, practical working style and enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork
- Curiosity about new technologies such as machine learning or 3D image processing, and enjoyment of agile working
