A client of YER Group in Krailling near Munich is hiring a Mechanical Engineer (m/w/d) for the development, adaptation and maintenance of laser sintering systems and their peripheral equipment, from concept study to series production.

Position Overview
This Mechanical Engineer role covers design of mechanical components and assemblies with safety, quality and industry standards in mind, 3D CAD modelling in SolidWorks, technical drawings, parts lists and complete technical data packages.

Key Responsibilities
Development & Design
- Develop, adapt and maintain laser sintering systems and peripheral systems from concept study to series production
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in line with safety requirements, quality standards and industry norms
CAD & Documentation
- Build 3D CAD models in SolidWorks and derive standards-compliant technical drawings
- Create and maintain parts lists and technical product data
- Compile complete, orderable technical data packages
Analysis & Teamwork
- Carry out feasibility, cost and risk analyses during project preparation
- Work with neighbouring development, production and project teams
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable technical field, or further training as a state-certified technician with relevant experience
Experience
- Relevant experience in mechanical and plant engineering, ideally in a technologically demanding development environment
- Excellent mechanical design knowledge and confident use of 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
- Experience with industry standards, especially machine safety, and knowledge of the Machinery Directive
- Experience with PDM and ERP systems, ideally SAP ECTR
Languages
- Excellent German and English, spoken and written
