Position Overview
As Module Design Engineer, you design passenger seat components with CATIA V5 and create concepts that balance quality, function, ergonomics, cost and weight. You size and design statically and dynamically loaded components in plastic, metal and fibre composite, produce design drafts for customer-specific module changes, and create and edit bills of materials in Siemens Teamcenter. You advise interdisciplinary project teams, write requirement specifications and design guidelines, prepare technical documents, support module and component tests and coordinate external development suppliers under work contracts.

Design & Concepts
- Design aircraft passenger seat components with CATIA V5
- Create concepts balancing quality, function, ergonomics, cost and weight
- Design statically and dynamically loaded parts in plastic, metal and composites
Customisation & Documentation
- Prepare design drafts and solutions for customer-specific module changes
- Create and edit bills of materials in Siemens Teamcenter
- Write requirement specifications, design guidelines and technical documents
Teamwork & Testing
- Advise interdisciplinary project teams
- Support module and component tests
- Coordinate external development suppliers
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in aerospace, mechanical or automotive engineering or similar
- Relevant experience designing lightweight structures
- Ideally experience with aircraft seats, aircraft cabins or vehicle seats
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of manufacturing technologies for composite, metal and plastic parts
- Good knowledge of a 3D CAD system, preferably CATIA V5
- PLM experience is an advantage
Languages & Personal
- Good German and English, written and spoken
- Goal-oriented, independent, methodical and structured work style
