Position Overview
In this robotics hardware leadership role, you define and own hardware architecture for complete robots or major product lines, covering actuators, sensors, power, safety and interfaces. You lead multi-phase projects, set technical direction, schedules and milestones, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, controls and manufacturing teams. You oversee advanced analyses such as FEA, tolerance stack-ups and reliability modelling, set validation plans, build QA/QC and issue-tracking processes, and write the hardware standards and SOPs that guide the technician team.
Why This Role Matters: Few technician roles reach system architecture level. This position lets an experienced robotics professional shape product direction, lead people and set standards, while staying hands-on in the lab. For hardware specialists in Germany’s growing robotics sector, it is a step from technician work into technical leadership.
