Day-to-day responsibilities include researching state-of-the-art NLP and LLM architectures, fine-tuning models on proprietary datasets, building robust APIs and microservices, integrating models into production systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and safety, collaborating with product, data, and blockchain engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions, conducting experiments, evaluating model performance using quantitative metrics, and implementing continuous improvements across the NLP and LLM pipeline from research through production deployment and monitoring.

- Design and develop scalable natural language processing pipelines that power Birbal AI’s digital ownership and financial platforms — from text preprocessing through model inference and output post-processing
- Fine-tune large language models on Birbal AI’s proprietary datasets — adapting foundation models to the specific domain vocabulary, tasks, and performance requirements of digital finance and ownership platforms
- Design and apply embeddings and semantic representation strategies — enabling accurate semantic search, classification, and information extraction across Birbal AI’s digital knowledge and financial content
API Development, Production Integration & MLOps
- Build robust APIs and microservices that expose NLP and LLM capabilities to downstream product and engineering teams — ensuring low-latency, high-reliability model serving for production digital finance applications
- Integrate NLP and LLM models into production systems — with a consistent focus on performance, reliability, safety, and responsible AI considerations appropriate for financial technology platforms
- Implement MLOps practices for model deployment, monitoring, and optimisation in cloud or containerised environments — applying Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and model observability tooling to maintain production quality

Qualifications & Required Skills
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related technical field — preferred
