Position Overview
The Process Operator – Processing at NFPC in Abu Dhabi is a full-time, on-site production role responsible for the execution and continuous monitoring of Ultra High Temperature (UHT) processing for dairy and juice products within the processing section. You will operate and monitor UHT treatment systems and Aseptic tanks, verify pre- and post-operation checklists daily, monitor treatment parameters every 30 minutes and document all readings accurately, perform CIP operations per approved SOPs, identify and respond immediately to process abnormalities that could impact product safety, and carry out daily and weekly equipment care activities — all in strict compliance with HACCP, GMP, and applicable food safety standards to minimize contamination risk throughout UHT operations.

Key Responsibilities
UHT System Operation & Aseptic Tank Monitoring
- Operate and monitor UHT treatment systems and Aseptic (Al Safe) tanks in full accordance with all approved production procedures and technical guidelines at all times
- Monitor UHT treatment parameters and Aseptic tank conditions at regular 30-minute intervals — accurately documenting all readings in the production log for traceability and compliance
- Verify and complete pre-operation and post-operation checklists daily — promptly reporting any deviations from established parameters to the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Department
- Operate within defined processing parameters as specified in SOPs and technical guidelines — never deviating from approved ranges without supervisor authorization and documentation
Food Safety, HACCP & Contamination Prevention
- Identify abnormalities that may impact product safety quickly and decisively — taking immediate action including temporary production stoppage and escalating to the supervisor for further corrective measures
- Adhere strictly to HACCP, GMP, and all food safety procedures at all times — protecting the integrity of long-shelf-life UHT products throughout every stage of the processing operation
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and personal hygiene standards throughout every production shift in the NFPC Abu Dhabi processing facility
- Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all UHT treatment and Aseptic tank operations — zero deviations from approved food safety protocols
CIP Operations & Equipment Care
- Perform Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) operations in strict accordance with approved production SOPs — ensuring thorough cleaning of all UHT and pasteurization lines to prevent cross-contamination
- Carry out daily and weekly equipment care activities in accordance with SOP requirements — maintaining all UHT systems, Aseptic tanks, and associated equipment in optimal operational condition
- Apply process knowledge actively to minimize product losses and reduce unnecessary downtime during all UHT processing operations across the dairy and juice lines
- Support maintenance activities and report any equipment faults, unusual sounds, or performance deviations to the Maintenance Department immediately for timely resolution
Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, or a closely related discipline is required for this Process Operator role at NFPC in Abu Dhabi
- Additional technical training or certifications in UHT processing, CIP operations, or food safety management systems are a professional advantage
Experience Requirements
- 2 or more years of hands-on experience in a dairy manufacturing or food processing environment — working directly with UHT, pasteurization, or similar thermal processing systems
- Strong practical knowledge of CIP operations — including the daily and weekly care requirements of UHT and pasteurization production lines
- Hands-on experience with Tetra Pak Master (TPM) systems and product mixing procedures relevant to dairy and juice processing operations
- Solid understanding and practical application of food safety and hygiene principles — including HACCP and GMP compliance in an active food manufacturing environment
